PhiBrows Aftercare

After your PhiBrows Treatment, your Artist will inform you about how to care for your new semi-permanent brows. You will also be given a paper copy of the below information to follow.

Clients need to follow ALL aftercare instructions to obtain best possible results post treatment.

On the day of your treatment

After your treatment, when you return home, wipe your brows (with the wipes provided) in the direction of hair growth at the times given to you by your Artist. Do not touch the healing area (brows) with your fingers as they may have bacteria on them and could cause infection.

The day after your treatment

Balm only 2 times a day for the next 7 days. Please only use a clean cotton bud to apply.

Rules to follow for the next 10 days after treatment:

Shower

When showering please apply a small layer of Vaseline to the brows it should only be enough to create a barrier on the skin. No need for a clumpy thick layer. Please turn the temperature down to as cool as you can take it (avoid creating steam in the room) and please have a quick shower. Exposing your brows to steam for a long time is not good for them! Even though you have a layer of Vaseline on the brow area please do not get your brows wet! Any water near the brows will affect the healing and could cause unwanted scabbing.

Exercise

It is so important that you discontinue any exercise for the next 10 days any beads of sweat will break down the pigment and result in poor results. This includes the use of weights, yoga & Pilates.

Rules to follow for the next 2 weeks after treatment:

  • No makeup through the brows, tinting of lashes/brows. Use only new brow pencil when you are ready to wear makeup.

  • Protect your brows from the sun - the use of sunblock/ spf  is advised after your brows are fully healed (this will take about a month) to prevent over fading of the pigment colour.

  • Do not use soap on the treatment area or expose your brows to steam / sweat / bacteria including sauna, exercise, jacuzzi or swimming pool.

  • Do not wear contact lenses for 3-7 days following your treatment.

  • Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing.

  • If you are a blood donor you may not give blood for 1 year following your PMU procedure as per the Red Cross.

Follow up Appointment

All follow up visits must be scheduled between 4-6 weeks following your first procedure. Results are not determined until after your second treatment and results are not guaranteed. This does not apply to your annual top up.

If you experience any itching, swelling, blistering or any other complications post procedure stop using product and please contact us immediately. You may be allergic to aftercare.

Your Healing Process

Please remember the brows go through a process of HEAL, PEAL & FADE this may take up to 14 days.

Brows will appear darker for the first 7-10 days as the procedure has blood & lymph in it. When they go through the peeling phase the colour will soften.

Healing.heic

Aloe Vera is not recommended to be used on the treated area. Please do not use this product as it will interfere with the healing process.

Do not use ANY products that contain:

  • AHAs / BHAs (hydroxy acids)

  • Vitamin A / Retinol / Retinoids or similar

  • Lactic / Glycolic Acids

These products are designed to lighten and exfoliate the surface of the skin resulting in poor retention of colour. It will fade your pigment.
